Named after the famous hotel in Times Square, New York due to its iconic pink exterior, this dessert comes by way of the United Kingdom, and is a phenomenon in Zamboanga. A satisfyingly cool treat to beat the tropical heat.

Chef Cat includes a twist on the traditional Tausug jampok, a parallel to the popular Tagalog ‘maruya,’ or, banana fritter. We use the signature Filipino saba variety of banana, mashed into yeasted donut dough.
